Multi-power, mA selection with Auto Vf detection

Different manufacturer’s COB package come with different Vf, unfortunately make the constant current LED driver difficult to deliver same amount of power to the LED engine. For e.g. with constant current of 400mA, Vf of 34V is 13.6 Watts, while 37V is 14.8 Watts. The additional 1.2 Watts will have additional stress to thermal management if not design or define properly with enough safety buffers.

We design our LED driver smarter to understand the thermal design criteria. If the LED thermal system is design for 13.6 Watts, we will maintain it in regardless the Vf, so if there is changes from Citizen COB of 34V to CREE COB of 37V, the power level will maintain at 13.6 Watts, by fine adjustment to output current automatically.

Each driver allow up to 8 power settings via DIP-switches. Simplify the design process and more versatile platform to adapt different Vf COB.
